Service Description
A comprehensive eye exam includes the assessment of vision and ocular health. A refraction determines if one is myopic (nearsighted), hyperopic (farsighted), astigmatic (irregular shape of cornea) and/or presbyopic (decreased focusing ability up close). If there’s a need for any vision correction, spectacle glasses, contact lenses or laser vision correction would be recommended according to the patient’s lifestyle. An ocular health assessment is important to detect sight threatening eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal problems and general health problems such as diabetes and hypertension.
